The already existing relations with the public and private sectors are leveraged. FTC is also aligning with the African continent through the consortium called ACW-SEDCI and the diaspora to broaden the market beyond the borders.

How We Handle Access to Markets
We handle access to markets through a structured and practical process designed to guide every member from local trade to global opportunities:
Onboarding & Profiling – Each member’s goods and services are profiled on the FTC platform, giving them visibility within the network and making it easy for other members to find and trade with them.
Local Intra-Trade – Members are encouraged to first trade with one another, ensuring money circulates within black communities and strengthens local economies.
Business Linkages – FTC connects members to buyers, suppliers, and service providers through structured networks, trade expos, and sector-based opportunities.
Capacity Building – Through training, mentorship, and partnerships with SETAs, NSF, and private institutions, members are equipped with the skills needed to compete in larger markets.
Sector & Institutional Partnerships – Established relationships with public and private sectors are leveraged to open procurement and supply chain opportunities for members.
Cross-Border Trade – Through alignment with the ACW-SEDCI consortium and the broader African diaspora, members are connected to continental and international markets, allowing their businesses to scale beyond South Africa.
