On 28th of January we had our very first FTC Scimmage. Between the few robots we had very well designed and competitive robots. Below a few pictures of the day:
The FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) is an exciting robotics competition designed for high school students from grades 9-12 typically ages 14-18 and 8th grade students 13 years and older who are prepared to participate in a high school program. It offers the traditional challenge of a FIRST competition paired with an accessible and robotics kit. The ultimate goal of FTC is to inspire young people to discover the excitement and rewards of science, technology, and engineering

The arrangements for FTC start up is gaining momentum. We are full speed planning the rest of the year with 2 season launches and 2 tournaments. The first season launch and tournament will be an exercise and training session for all of us to prepare us for the 2014 – 2015 season that will kick off the 6th of September 2014.
WE NEED VOLUNTEERS FOR THE UPCOMING TOURNAMENT THE 2nd OF AUGUST 2014!
Please print and distribute the attached document to all your affiliated companies, technical personnel and students. We want to get them involved. Volunteers can add there name in the grey spaces under the tournament staffing section for the sections that they are interested in. They can also e-mail me so that we can discuss where they would like to volunteer. Many of these critical positions requires training and online examination before the tournament.
We are looking forward to the excitement of FTC!
